MN Community Measurement Recognizes Innovation and Collaboration in Clinical Quality Measurement

MN Community Measurement (MNCM) is proud to recognize the individuals and organizations that contributed to the Measure-Eligible Patient Identification Pilot, an innovative initiative leveraging the OMOP common data model to support clinical quality measurement.
This pilot brought together health care organizations, clinical leaders, informaticists, analysts, and quality improvement experts to explore new approaches for identifying measure-eligible patient populations using standardized data structures. The work represents an important step forward in improving efficiency and supporting the future of digital quality measurement.

Looking Ahead
The success of the Measure-Eligible Patient Identification Pilot established important groundwork for the next phase of this initiative. Building on the pilot’s findings, MNCM’s Data Integrity and Use Committee and Board of Directors approved advancing to a second phase focused on standardized measure calculation leveraging the OMOP Common Data Model, to support the full end-to-end clinical quality measurement process and development of a submission extract for statewide analysis.
To support this work, MNCM is partnering with Hennepin Health Research Institute to lead script development and pilot testing with participating health systems. The project is expected to continue through this fall and represents an important step toward more standardized, scalable, and interoperable approaches to clinical quality measurement.
MNCM looks forward to continuing this collaborative work with partners across the health care community to advance more efficient and meaningful quality measurement practices.
